It is the first time a UK teacher has claimed the award from education charity the Varkey Foundation. Ms Zafirakou teaches art and textiles, which she says are "powerful subjects that help the students unlock all of their language barriers". New post British man, 22, falls to his death from balcony in Palma, Majorca Image: The man fell from this building in a residential street in Palma, Majorca The 22-year-old was found by a passerby in Calle Aragon, a residential street in the capital Palma, at about 6am on Sunday. Emergency services attempted to resuscitate him for several minutes, but pronounced him dead at the scene. "We are in touch with local police and are providing bereavement advice to his family, following the death of a British man in Majorca," said a spokeswoman for the Foreign Office. Police investigators said there were four other British man at the same house, according to reports from the Diario de Mallorca newspaper. Although no official report has yet been released, the death is being treated as accidental.

Ole Diehl, deputy director at Germany's foreign intelligence agency BND, apparently told lawmakers in a private meeting that he was "certain" about Kim Jong Un's military capability. But Mr Diehl also insisted the agency saw talks between North and South Korea as a positive sign, according to German newspaper Bild am Sonntag, citing sources. The BND has not commented on the report. A senior North Korean diplomat left for Finland on Sunday for talks with former US and South Korean officials, South Korean media reported.
