Sudan's Rebels Want a Role in Transitional Government CAIRO (AP) - A Sudanese rebel alliance said Wednesday it should be represented in the transitional government formed by the military and the pro-democracy movement. Yesir Arman , a senior official in the Sudan Revolutionary Front, told The Associated Press that the transitional government should end the long-running war in Darfur and integrate the rebels into the armed forces as part of an “agenda of peace.” Sudan has been convulsed by rebellions in its far-flung provinces for decades. A cease-fire has held since the military overthrow of President  Omar al-Bashir  in April, and the rebels have joined the pro-democracy coalition, which includes the organizers of months of mass protests that eventually forced  al-Bashir  from power. The SRF is an alliance of the largest rebel groups in Darfur, where the International Criminal Court has accused  al-Bashir  of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity in the ea

(AP) — U.S. regulators Wednesday approved a new tuberculosis medicine that shortens and improves treatment for the hardest-to-treat cases, a worsening problem in many poor countries. It's the first TB drug from a nonprofit group. Jewish Man Attacked in Berlin as Germany Sees Rise in Anti-Semitic Crimes Police in  Germany  are investigating an attack on a 55-year old  Jewish man  by two men in Berlin Tuesday night, local media reported. The DW  reported that the victim was wearing clothes that identified him as Jewish, but did not identify what those clothes were. The report added that the man was struck in the back as walked through the upscale Charlottenburg district, just west of the center of Berlin. According to the DW, the victim was able to make it home after the attack but called emergency services after suffering pain in his head and one of his legs. More Lung Damage From Vaping Reported MADISON, Wi (MetroSource-WSAU) The number of Wisconsin young people hospitalized because of vaping continues to increase.  The Wisconsin Department of Health Services today says it's received reports of eleven new cases of teens and young adults with severe lung damage.  The department is already investigating seven other cases.  Chest pain, fatigue, shortness of breath, a cough and even weight loss are some of the symptoms.
