Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy is being held by police in connection to alleged campaign funding from late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
Mr Sarkozy is being questioned as part of an investigation into "irregularities" in election campaign financing, a French court source told Reuters.
He is said to have accepted €50m from Muammar Gaddafi's regime, claims which have been repeated by the late Libyan dictator's son and French businessman Ziad Takieddine.

The amount would be more than double the legal spending limit in French elections at that time, which was €21m.
Alleged payments would also violate French laws on foreign financing and declaring the source of campaign funds.
Mr Sarkozy and his campaign manager have repeatedly denied accepting money from Libya.
According to Le Monde, this is the first time Mr Sarkozy has been questioned in relation to this investigation, which was opened in April 2013.

He can be held for up to 48 hours and presented to a magistrates' court for indictment if police seek charges.
Mr Sarkozy has already been ordered to stand trial in a separate case, concerning the financing of his 2012 re-election campaign, when he lost to Francois Hollande.

In March 2011, Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the late dictator's son, told Euronews: "Sarkozy has to give back the money he accepted from Libya to finance his electoral campaign. We financed his campaign and we have the proof…
"The first thing we're demanding is that this clown gives back the money to the Libyan people."

Mr Takieddine claims he delivered three suitcases stuffed with cash to Paris between 2006 and 2007, and handed them over to Mr Sarkozy in the interior ministry when he was a minister.
Mr Sarkozy was president of France from 2007 until 2012.
He attempted to stage a comeback for the 2017 election, but failed to convince the voters in his own party to support him and had to concede to Francois Fillon and Alain Juppe.

Finger Foods you should Try : Oven BBQ Chicken

Oven BBQ Chicken Time : 1hour  This juicy chicken is coated in barbecue sauce and uses the oven instead of the grill frequently, with the following helpful tip: Barbecue sauce is spread over most of the roast chicken that has been dry-rubbed. The rendered fat from the chicken gives the finished sauce its shine and thickness. After being spooned on, it is roasting the chicken until it is sticky, caramelized, and flavorful. Serve the excess sauce with supper, use it to dip poultry in, or eat it by the spoonful. (Try using this stovetop technique for boneless BBQ chicken.) INGREDIENTS Yield: 4 to 6 servings 1 (18-ounce) jar barbecue sauce, or 2 cups homemade barbecue sauce About 3 pounds bone-in, skin-on chicken leg quarters or thighs, patted dry 1 tablespoon neutral oil (such as grapeseed) 2 teaspoons store-bought or homemade chili powder 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Kosher salt (such as Diamond Crystal) 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar PREPARATION Step 1 Heat the oven to 425 degre...

How to prepare Spicy Tomato Pasta With Arugula

Spicy Tomato Pasta With Arugula Time : 20 minutes  This one-pot pasta is coated in a rich sauce owing to a basic foundation of olive oil, tomato paste, smoky Calabrian chili paste, and pasta water. It's a go-to recipe for sleepy weeknights when you don't want to chop an onion or mince garlic. This spicy and flavorful Italian chile paste is made from crushed Calabrian chiles combined with oil, salt, and occasionally vinegar. If you can't locate it, you can also use hot pickled chiles or chile-garlic paste. You can always add extra chile to your bowl, so err on the side of caution with that. Two methods of serving the arugula: Each serving bowl should have a tangle of it at the bottom. Toss the heated spaghetti with it to soften. Then slice the rawness, or heap it on top, pour with your lovely olive oil, and sprinkle with some grated cheese for a salad and pasta dish. INGREDIENTS Yield: 4 servings Salt ¾pound long, thin pasta, such as vermicelli or capellini 2tablespoons ol...
