A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after two women were killed in a crash on the M25.
A 10-year-old girl also suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision at Waltham Abbey in Essex at about 11.20pm on Monday.
Essex Police said an articulated lorry and an Audi were involved in the crash between junctions 26 and 27.
A 32-year-old man is in police custody, and the force's serious collision investigation unit is leading the inquiry.

Motorists reported long delays as the anti-clockwise carriageway was partly closed during Monday morning's rush hour.
