Boris Tries to Woo Scotland With £300m Funding

Boris Tries to Woo Scotland With £300m Funding Boost After Brexit as He Turbo-Charges No Deal Plans

BORIS Johnson will try to woo Scottish voters today with promises of millions of pounds of funding after Brexit.
The PM pushed the country's No Deal Brexit plans full-steam ahead today with war cabinet meetings, one billion of extra cash and ramped up preparations.

He will meet with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon this afternoon and Scots Tory boss Ruth Davidson too.
The leader of the Scottish Conservatives will hold a tense chat with him - after she slammed his No Deal plans yesterday.
In an article for the Scottish Mail on Sunday she quipped: “I don’t think the government should pursue a no-deal Brexit and, if it comes to it, I won’t support it.”
In the coming days Boris will do a whistle-stop tour of the UK with trips to Wales and Northern Ireland too.
But today he was met with protests when he arrived in Glasgow.
The meeting with Ms Sturgeon is expected to take place at her official residence of Bute House in Edinburgh.
Sources claim First Minister Ms Sturgeon set out her “strong opposition” to a cliff-edge EU exit in a phone call with Mr Johnson.
After Boris Johnson was appointed Prime Minister she insisted a second Scottish independence referendum was “more essential than ever”.

The PM still polls disastrously in Scotland – a problem that dates back to 2004 when, as editor of the Spectator, he published a poem calling for the “extermination” of the “verminous Scottish race”.
A YouGov poll claimed three quarters of Scottish people believe he is incompetent.

US, South Korea set to revise bilateral missile treaty

US, South Korea set to revise bilateral missile treaty By  Laura Smith-Spark , North Korea to US (CNN) South Korean President Moon Jae-in and President Donald Trump have agreed "in principle" to revise a bilateral treaty that limits the weight and range of the South's ballistic missiles. The move could give South Korea more independence from the United States to react to the threat from North Korea, analysts say. The two leaders spoke in a phone call Friday. "President Moon and President Trump reaffirmed their view that it is important to apply maximum sanctions and pressure on North Korea so that it refrains from making provocations and comes out to the dialogue table to peacefully resolve its nuclear issue," presidential   spokesman Park Soo-hyun said in a written statement. According to the statement, the two also agreed "in principle on the revision of ...
