Empire' Star Jussie Smollett Sells L.A. Mansion for $30,000 Loss

“Empire” star Jussie Smollett just sold off his L.A. mansion, and it seems he wanted to get out of the neighborhood ASAP.
According to real estate records, the actor sold off his 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 7,573 sq. ft. home in Studio City, CA for $1,655,000.
The property was not publicly listed for sale, but records show it the sale closed on July 15.

The home is pretty fantastic, and includes “wonderful views and lush green rear yard” and “all bedrooms feature suite baths.”
The listing touted a "Two car garage, custom Dolby 5.1 surround sound, Pro Cooks Kitchen, Exotic Wood Decking, to Nest operated Heating and Cooling systems, not to mention an enormous lower master retreat fully equipped with two walk in closets, large master bath, and separate office and/or nursery with a wall of glass doors leading you out to the Entertainers Deck.”
It also features a full blown digital camera surveillance system -- which is pretty ironic considering how much trouble the surveillance footage caused him back in Chicago during the investigation into his alleged incident.

The actor originally purchased the home for $1,686,530 back in 2017 under a trust named J's Love Trust.
The real estate move was before the whole alleged attack/hoax situation.

The sale price means Smollett will take a loss of $31,530 but he probably has bigger issues to still deal with.

Smollett recently reappeared on social media in a photo smiling with his family. The former "Empire" actor went out for a regular meal with his siblings during a trip to New York City.
Jussie's sister, Jazz Smollett, posted pictures of their outing showing the controversial actor smiling and enjoying their time together.
It had been a while since Jussie had been seen in such good spirits.

The fight isn't over for Jussie, despite all criminal charges being dropped, because he's still on the hook for a lawsuit against the city of Chicago for thousands of dollars spent investigating the alleged hoax.

South Korea holds live fire drills

South Korea holds live-fire drills that simulate destroying North Korea's leadership "The reason they want it, I think, is they want to be able to either respond to North Korean provocation or they want North Korea to be aware that they have the capability to respond if North Korea goes too far," said Schuster, now a Hawaii Pacific University professor. "To an extent it's as much a political as an operational development that's important to South Korean self-confidence." Moon has sought to be "more accommodating" to North Korea than his predecessor and looked for nonmilitary ways to resolve the situation, Schuster said, but the North's recent actions have undermined public confidence in his policies. They have also alarmed South Korea's allies in the region and around the world. The United States responded this week to a series of missiles launches by North Korea -- one of them over Japan -- by staging a mock...
