A US teenager has won a record-breaking $3m (£2.4m) to become world champion of the computer game Fortnite.
It is the largest prize pool in the history of e-sports, with $30m shared amongst the winners.
Kyle Giersdorf, 16, won the solo event of the competition in the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, which hosts the US Open tennis tournament.
British teenager Jaden Ashman won almost £1m for coming second in the duos event.
Mr Giersdorf, known online as Bugha, stood laughing and shaking his head as the crowd erupted when his name was announced.
He told the BBC he wants to save most of his prize. "All I want is a new desk and maybe a desk for my trophy," he said.
The final game was described by the commentators as a "ridiculous victory lap" as the winner played with a smile on his face whilst beating his rivals.

The event is seen as a major moment in e-sports, which is estimated to be a billion-dollar industry in 2019.
However, its record for the biggest prize pool is already set to be broken by another event called The International, taking place in August.
The Fortnite finals saw 100 players battling on giant computer screens.
Forty million players attempted to qualify over 10 weeks of online competition.

Image captionThere are an estimated 32.4 million gamers in the UK.
More than 30 nations were represented with 70 players coming from the US, 14 from France and 11 from the UK.
The game involves 100 players being dropped onto an island where they have to find weapons, build structures and eliminate each other until one player comes out on top.
It has 200 million registered players worldwide and is free to download, but players can spend money on in-game purchases.
Players can play alone, as part of a four-person squad or a 20-member team, either with friends or people they do not know.

Last month its makers were quizzed by MPs on whether game developers Epic Games did enough to verify the age of players or encourage users to take breaks after long periods of gameplay.
In April, the Duke of Sussex called for Fortnite to be banned, saying the game had been "created to addict".
The firm's Legal counsel Canon Pence told MPs that Epic Games staff had been "quite taken aback" by Prince Harry's comment.

North Korea tests completed Yongbyon nuclear reactor, say analysts

New post North Korea tests completed Yongbyon nuclear reactor, say analysts Image: Experts say recent satellite imagery shows testing has begun at the Yongbyon reactor North Korea has begun testing a nuclear reactor that could be used to produce weapons-grade plutonium, according to intelligence analysts. The country has been developing an experimental light water reactor at the Yongbyon Atomic Energy Research Centre for several years, but activity is said to have increased in recent months. Experts say recent satellite imagery shows the reactor has been structurally finished and there is evidence testing has begun. According to a report by intelligence analysts Jane's Intelligence Review, the imagery showed emissions on non-condensable gases from a stack at the reactor. Although the reactor could be used to produce weapons-grade plutonium, North Korea is believed to already have enough fissile material for several nuclear bombs. Construction of the...

How to prepare Chicken Miso Meatballs in 3 easy steps

Chicken Miso Meatballs Ground chicken bosom meat is genuinely lean, so milk is added to this formula to keep them damp and delicate.  As the meatballs prepare, the miso caramelizes into exquisite chomps of sweet-pungent umami.  Disintegrated Ritz wafers add lavishness and make a more succulent meatball (however plain, dry bread pieces will likewise work). To make the Ritz morsels, place the wafers in a resealable plastic pack and delicately squash them with the rear of a wooden spoon or estimating cup.  These additionally make a scrumptious hors d'oeuvre: Simply fold the blend into more modest 1-inch balls. For a fast plunging sauce, join 2 sections soy sauce to 1 section refined white vinegar, and add cut scallions, or red-pepper pieces, assuming you like hotness. INGREDIENTS  ¼   cup whole milk 3   tablespoons sweet white miso 1   tablespoon minced garlic 1   teaspoons kosher salt ¾   teaspoon black pepper ½   cup finely crushed Ritz c...

How to prepare Charleston Red Rice

Charleston Red Rice TIME :  About 1¼ hours This traditional tomato and rice dish is also known as Carolina red rice or just red rice. It is a Lowcountry favorite and possibly descended from West African jollof rice. It frequently incorporates sausage, but this recipe, which was modeled after the way Millie Bell, the mother of the chef Millie Peartree, used to prepare it, uses bacon to give it depth. (However, if you want to add sausage, simply let it sear in Step 3 with the vegetables.) First, the "holy trinity" of celery, bell pepper, and onion are sautéed in bacon grease to flavor the cooking liquid. The rice is then roasted to ensure that it is thoroughly cooked. For a filling, fulfilling meal, serve this with baked chicken or ham, green beans, or collard greens. INGREDIENTS Yield : 8 servings Nonstick cooking spray 6bacon slices 1medium Vidalia or other sweet, Spanish or yellow onion, chopped 2celery ribs, chopped 1large green bell pepper, chopped 1teaspoon kosher salt, p...
