She is currently suffering from Munchausen's Syndrome, where she is pretending to be seriously ill.
Dr Levi knows that Maxine is faking her terminal tumour, and has been lying to her husband Damon and simultaneously pretending to be at death's door and on a trial that will miraculously cure her.
It was revealed tonight that Levi had been making detailed notes about Maxine's condition, aware of the extent of her damaging lies to her friends and family.
And after splitting with Scott over his secret performances as drag queen Anita Tinkle, Levi went to Misbah Maalik and Mitchell Deveraux and told them about her lying.
He told Scott he didn't like his turn as Anita Tinkle
