How to Make Tigernut Ofio Milk Drink

How to Make Tigernut Ofio Milk Drink

x-tigernut-ofio-drink-milk-recipe
In my Lose It Nigerian book, I presented tigernut milk aka ofio (imumu) drink as a diary free alternative to cow milk. I have had so many amazing feedbacks on the recipe and I thought to share it with the bigger 9jafoodie audience.  You will be surprised by how easy it is to make this recipe, it’s pretty much just 3 simple steps. The process of making this is similar to soy milk, you can find that recipe HERE . If you dont live where you can easily source tigernut, feel free to substitute almonds in this recipe. If you use fresh tigernuts, there is no need to pre-soak them.
Dried dates can be used as sugarfree way to sweeten the milk. I have heard “read” that adding date and coconut into tigernut makes it an aphrodisiac, I cannot confirm or deny this claim. If you try the combination for this purpose and it happens to be true, please let a sister know.

South Korea holds live fire drills

South Korea holds live-fire drills that simulate destroying North Korea's leadership "The reason they want it, I think, is they want to be able to either respond to North Korean provocation or they want North Korea to be aware that they have the capability to respond if North Korea goes too far," said Schuster, now a Hawaii Pacific University professor. "To an extent it's as much a political as an operational development that's important to South Korean self-confidence." Moon has sought to be "more accommodating" to North Korea than his predecessor and looked for nonmilitary ways to resolve the situation, Schuster said, but the North's recent actions have undermined public confidence in his policies. They have also alarmed South Korea's allies in the region and around the world. The United States responded this week to a series of missiles launches by North Korea -- one of them over Japan -- by staging a mock...

Hero' officer who swapped with French supermarket hostage dies

New post 'Hero' officer who swapped with French supermarket hostage dies , UK,   Saturday   24   March   2018 Image: Arnaud Beltrame (L) offered himself up to Redouane Lakdim (R) in exchange for the final hostage A French policeman who took the place of a hostage during a terror attack at a supermarket has died of his injuries. Arnaud Beltrame had voluntarily swapped himself with a female hostage and surreptitiously left his mobile phone on so his colleagues could hear what was going on inside. The 45-year-old was left fighting for his life after being shot by Moroccan-born Redouane Lakdim. Counter-terrorism officers then stormed the supermarket in Trebes, southwest France, and shot the terrorist dead. Mr Beltrame's death takes the number of people killed to four - in addition to the gunman - and 15 others were injured. Paying tribute to the police officer, interior minister Gerard Collomb tweeted: "Dead for his country. France will never fo...
