How to prepare Miso Chicken

 Miso Chicken

Miso Chicken

TIME : 45 Minutes

A simple midweek dinner can be greatly enhanced in flavor by combining unsalted butter with the salty, fungus-flavored Japanese miso paste. In this instance, the mixture is applied on chicken thighs before they are roasting to a golden perfection. However, you may also use it on potatoes, maize, fish, or flounder. White miso, which is milder than the red miso that has matured, is what is called for in the recipe. Red, though, would undoubtedly produce a more intense result.

INGREDIENTS

Yield:

4 servings

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

½ cup white miso

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon rice vinegar (do not use seasoned rice vinegar)

Black pepper, to taste

8 skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs, approximately 2½ to 3 pounds

PREPARATION

Step 1

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Combine butter, miso, honey, rice vinegar and black pepper in a large bowl and mix with a spatula or spoon until it is well combined.

Step 2

Add chicken to the bowl and massage the miso-butter mixture all over it. Place the chicken in a single layer in a roasting pan and slide it into the oven. Roast for 30 to 40 minutes, turning the chicken pieces over once or twice, until the skin is golden brown and crisp, and the internal temperature of the meat is 160 to 165 degrees.

Sausage and Peppers Pasta With Broccoli : Italian Dishes To Try

Sausage and Peppers Pasta With Broccoli Time : 20 Minutes  When coupled with spaghetti, the traditional Italian flavor combination of sausage and peppers produces a filling and simple midweek supper. Broccoli is a great nutritious ingredient that adds texture and cooks quickly. If you prefer a more aggressive vegetable, though, you can choose between broccolini or broccoli rabe. Although this recipe calls for sweet Italian pork sausage, there's no need to feel constrained by it: Use chicken-apple sausage as a healthy alternative, spicy Italian sausage for more spice, or fresh chorizo or breakfast sausage to transform this meal into brunch. INGREDIENTS Yield: 4 servings ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil 1 pound sweet Italian pork sausage, casings removed 1 pound broccoli, cut into 1½-inch florets (about 4 cups) 2 medium yellow bell peppers (12 ounces), cored, seeded and thinly sliced (about 2½ cups) 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced Kosher salt and pepper 1 pound rigatoni ½ cup grate...

How to prepare Shrimp Creole

Shrimp Creole Similar as gumbo, this shrimp and tomato stew begins with a roux that thickens and adds an unmistakable flavor (however many takes on shrimp Creole avoid the roux out and out).  Then, the "blessed trinity" of Creole cooking - onion, celery and ringer pepper - is stewed in the roux. You'll need to mix the lower part of the pot continually to keep the roux from staying and consuming, and try to keep a nearby eye: A consumed roux can't be saved.  Creole food savors spontaneous creation, so go ahead and add different veggies or an alternate protein, or preclude the hot sauce and add a teaspoon of apple juice vinegar in its place. This zesty stew is generally served over steamed white rice, but at the same time is scrumptious served over earthy colored rice or other entire grains, as quinoa. INGREDIENTS  FOR THE CREOLE SEASONING (OPTIONAL): 1   tablespoon smoked paprika 1   tablespoon chili powder 1   teaspoon onion powder 1   teaspoon garlic ...
