What Nick Cannon Thinks Of Mariah Carey Going Public With Her Bipolar Disorder Diagnosis

They've had their ups and downs, but Nick Cannon is in Mariah Carey's corner amid her going public with her bipolar disorder diagnosis.
A source close to the Wild ‘n Out host says he's known about Mariah's condition for quite some time and is "proud" of her for speaking out about it.
The insider told ET:
"Nick has known about Mariah's diagnosis forever. This isn't news to him. This was a big part of their relationship and even today, it's something he's mindful of."
Mimi made the revelation in a recent interview with People, explaining she was diagnosed with the condition in 2001. After living in "denial and isolation" for years, she said she recently "sought and received treatment" and surrounded herself with "positive people."
Cannon, for his part, is sending his ex and mother of his children nothing but positivity and well wishes as she opens up about her struggles. The source added:
"He's proud of her for coming forward and using her platform for good. He loves her as the mother of his children and always wants what is best for her."
